The “Bill to Amend Criminal Appellate Procedure” was sent to legislators with a history of criminal justice reform who currently have the power to advance federal legislation, including United States Senate Judiciary Committee members and “First Step Act” co-sponsors Dick Durbin (D) and Chuck Grassley (R), as well as United States House Judiciary Committee members and “EQUAL Act” co-sponsors Jerrold Nadler (D), Sheila Jackson Lee (D), and Stephanie Brice (R).

Sign the petition to voice your opposition to the Anders brief and support for the proposed new law to abolish it.  Upon reaching 10,000 signatures, the list of names and messages will be submitted to the above-listed senators and congressmembers and may also be sent to state-level legislators.
